Sharing a Vision

Homecoming

On August 25, 2026, my wife drove us to a little neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia called Mt. Airy. I had no idea where we were going.

We parked. She looked at her phone and walked us around the corner to a townhome on Carpenter Lane. As it came into view, my body started shaking. Huge waves of emotion washed through my body.

Two pieces of context: this was the house I had lived in for the first two years of my life until an unexpected job loss forced my parents to relocate to Washington, D.C. without much warning.

August 25th, 2026 was my 50th birthday.

So on my fiftieth birthday, my wife brought me back to my first home. Of course, I didn’t consciously remember this place. But clearly something in me did. It felt as if part of my two year old self had been waiting for my body to return to this place for 48 years. The reunion as that part returned to my body was intense.

After I was done crying, we walked up the block to a neighborhood cafe. We got coffee and wandered around the tree lined streets. People said hi to us. There were tons of free little libraries strewn throughout the neighborhood.

Eventually, we found ourselves at the entrance to a little forest area. We started walking through it, marveling at the sunlight dappling through the trees. It felt welcoming, easy. Like home.

About five minutes into our woodsy wandering, I turned to Julia (that’s my wife).

“I think we’re supposed to buy a big house here and make a wizard sanctuary.”

“I was having the exact same thought,” she said.

Interesting, right?

A Quick Thought on Visions

In my experience, when a true calling or vision comes to us, it’s not something we would come up with on our own.

Last year, neither Julia nor I were thinking of selling all of our belongings and traveling for (at least) a year. It was on another walk through very different woods in New Mexico that that calling dropped in. We didn’t question it and five months later, we were in Guatemala.

Heading into summer 2026, we were settling into the rhythm of nomadic life. Two or three months in one place. Move on to another. Neither of us has ever felt any call to own a home or property.

So when we both had the same idea at the same time. . .it didn’t feel like it was coming from us. And that’s worth paying attention to.

The Vision: A Wizard Sanctuary

Here’s the vision:

  • A 5 or 6 bedroom historic home nestled in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia. Tree dappled light streaming through windows. A welcoming porch.
  • A place for community gatherings.
  • For study of Vibrational Intelligence, energy medicine, breathwork, Innerdance.
  • For creators and magic-makers to come to make things, take time out of their usual context to be nourished.
  • For new visions to emerge.
  • Each room will have its own evolving frequency. A space for writing. One for dreaming. Another for connecting. A tiny ecosystem of thresholds and experiences held and tended with care.
  • An herb garden in the back.
  • Decor and furnishings that feel (and are) crafted rather than simply manufactured.
  • A firepit for gathering and rituals. And just being human together.
  • Endless and emerging possibility with deep roots to land and community.

Breathing with the Vision

As soon as this vision dropped in for us, it felt real. As if it had already come to pass and we were making our way towards each other. The house from the future. Us from the present. Perhaps even future versions of ourselves reaching back to plant the vision for us to help us find ourselves.

Retrocausality is fun to think about. The important bit is that it felt like more than a lark.

So we’ve been carrying this vision for a couple of months now. Nourishing it with imagination. Breathing with it.

Your curiosity led you to this page. Not everyone clicks that little orb. You did.

You’re invited to hold this vision with me and Julia.

You may feel the edges of it now.

If you’d like to, breathe with it alongside us.

May this vision be a gift to all who encounter it.
And each breath a seed planted for the emerging future that benefits all beings.
